A committee is set to launch to probe of inquiry about the protocols followed for non-EU GPs, their right to work in UK and how they are ill-treated with partiality in the hospitals. The Health Select Committee is asking all non-EU GPs to come-up with the incidents of ill treatment or delayed treatment for Tier 2 Visa holders who are employed with the employers of holding Tier 2 sponsorship licenses. The committee is trying to gather the incidents to prove the failure of systems put into practice for some time now.
There are incidents where the companies lose Tier 2 sponsorship license for the mistake of officials who followed wrong information and sometimes without a great cause. The right to question about the injustice will go unheard. The UK Visa and Immigration department can reinstate tier 2 Visa if required but was hostile to win in the court of law but not in consideration of tier 2 visa immigrants.
The launched inquiry comes into action in harmony between UK Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt and the Health Select Committee.The committee requested the ill-treated patients to come up with evidences in an attempt to strongly prove the failures. UK Health Secretary also says that UK has the required trained staff to work in ministry hospitals, UK. The Health Secretary also added that Tier 2 Visa helps overseas workers to avail the facility in migrating to UK on Work permit when there is shortage of qualified suitable UK residents for the vacant position.
Non-EU GPs - not forced to leave Britain
The Home Secretary also affirmed that, those Tiers 2 Visa holders complying with guidelines are not forced to leave the country. However, if they fail to renew the Tier 2 Visa or any such malpractices will force them to leave Britain.
Pulse Today daily news edition mentioned that employers are allowed to submit an online application for Tier 2 sponsorship License with the requested documents.
NHS targets to recruit 5,000 GPs by 2020
At RCGP Conference in 2017 Mr. Jeremy Hunt emphasized that measures are being taken to reduce the bureaucracy involved in recruiting the overseas workers and make the process simple. He also stated that NHS targets to recruit 5,000 GPs by 2020.
University of Manchester in a recently conducted study mentioned that 17% of the GPs who are now working in Britain were actually educated and trained outside UK. Professor Aneez Ismail added to the article saying instead of restricting with new rules and policies it is advisable to support international GPs in meeting the growing need.
